{"id":257,"date":"2022-08-14T20:51:29","date_gmt":"2022-08-15T02:51:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wolfpack.xyz\/blog\/?p=257"},"modified":"2022-08-14T20:51:31","modified_gmt":"2022-08-15T02:51:31","slug":"a320-cockpit-colors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.wolfpack.xyz\/blog\/?p=257","title":{"rendered":"A320 Cockpit Colors"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I&#8217;ve been a bit of research on what colors are used in the A320 cockpit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\"><strong>Let me preface by saying that yes&#8230; these colors may not be exact but I can say for certain that they are pretty dang close.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are 2 colors in the cockpit, the grey that can be found on the MIP, the pedestal, the overhead, and all the breaker panels. Using the site: <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyrgb.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.easyrgb.com\/<\/a> I was able to find close matches found in normal house paint collections. I decided to try Whale Gray (N470-60) from Behr which can be bought at Home Depot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.wolfpack.xyz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/20220814_201448.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.wolfpack.xyz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/20220814_201448.jpg?w=634\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-260\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As you can see it&#8217;s a pretty close match but I would like to get even better. Not to mention having to roll paint onto my custom panels is not exactly Ideal.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"is-layout-flow wp-block-column\">\n<p>The blue used is <strong>RAL 5017 (#136398)<\/strong>. The closest match in the Behr collection I could find is Cosmic Cobalt (P500-7D)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-jetpack-image-compare\"><div class=\"juxtapose\" data-mode=\"horizontal\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" id=\"261\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.wolfpack.xyz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/blue.jpg?resize=247%2C157\" alt=\"\" width=\"247\" height=\"157\" class=\"image-compare__image-before\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" id=\"262\" src=\"https:\/\/i2.wp.com\/www.wolfpack.xyz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/otherblue.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"244\" height=\"139\" class=\"image-compare__image-after\"\/><\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Again not a perfect match so on to my proposed solution&#8230;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>I came across <a href=\"https:\/\/www.myperfectcolor.com\/RAL-Paint-Colors\/148.htm\">https:\/\/www.myperfectcolor.com\/RAL-Paint-Colors\/148.htm<\/a> which lets you enter RAL color codes and order custom mixed spraypaint cans! Which I&#8217;m thinking would look way better than rolled on house paint. Not to mention easier and quicker. Once I order some and get a chance to test the results I&#8217;ll be sure to post my findings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just a quick note about the finish. On the actual panel I own it is definitely a matte or satin finish.
